San'dellora was once a member of the Dizen'ralith subhouse of the Val'Beldrobbaen, the 5th daughter of Dev'ess Hala'solenta. Like others of the counter-culture movement in the clan, she had grown up with a free-thinking spirit and often had ideas pouring from an overactive imagination that horrified her elders. Even studying new golem engineering techniques clashed with tried-and-true operations the Beldrobbaen were used to performing. San'dellora soon felt like her environment was restrictive: life was terribly monotonous and nothing within the clan seemed to change, though the districts outside the Beldrobbaen boundaries rapidly shifted at whim. Pedigree and knowing ones ancestral history is deeply important, but it did not have to dictate how one should their life.
Then the district war finally broke out. San had never been one to follow her clan's tendency towards Vel'Sharen alliances, and the moment the Illhar'ess declared official allegiance with them against the rogue clans, San'dellora felt that she could no longer stand to see her home inhabited by the Vels. She took no sides in this conflict, but San always felt that the Vel'Sharen were terribly ignorant to freely use nether in the face of the great disasters that destroyed the surface. Things were made worse by the fact that her own family praised their centuries-long history with Vel'Sharen when it seemed as if the culture of the Beldrobbaen took a back seat to being vassals of another nation.
Deciding to cut ties with the Beldrobbaen clan citing discontent with Sharen, San left for greener pastures to seek an escape from the war--moving from place to place, selling her sorcery talents as a mercenary for hire. Her work eventually let her to the surface, where she caught up with Nal'sarkoth traders working with the Tei'kaliath clan. San'dellora had only heard of the clan in passing when she lived in Chel'el'Sussoloth so at first, it seemed impossible that an entire clan could migrate to the harsh ancestral lands and survive for so long... What amazed her even more was that they had dokkalfar children among their numbers.
However, this turned out to be a great opportunity for the Beldrobbaen, because this is the time when she met Minalia Teikaliath. The two soon began a friendship over shared interests in golem engineering, and Minalia invited San'dellora to be apart of her family as a member of the Totolo. Relations clicked swiftly and the young drowolath found herself being swept away by the clan's unique way of functioning as a society. Staying among the Tei'kaliaths has renewed her sense of individualism and wish to seek knowledge beyond the borders of common knowledge.
